| 50119 | 2002-05-22 07:24:00 | hi this is my first post, hope you can help me. last nite i ran scan disk then defrag in safe mode,no problems there but when i closed it my desk tops icons and all other applications even explorer in large icons and letters.i would like some help in changing them back please.i am a newbie at this,thanks for your help. |

| 50120 | 2002-05-22 09:56:00 | Right click the desktop, choose properties. Check the settings tab, I am betting your resolution has gone down to 600x480. Might be the video driver. If restarting doesn't fix it, try loading a new version of the video card driver. Once you have the right driver loaded, you should be able to go back to a good resolution and everything will appear normal size once more, with luck. robo. |

Therefore let me expand on Robo's instructions: Right click your desktop; Select Properties; Select Settings; Look down for Screen Area and the sliding bar. Move the sliding bar to the right so it reads 800 x 600. Press OK, agree to the messages and accept it. See if this improves it. NOTE:Recent computers and monitors often use the next setting (1024 x 768 pixels) so if it's heading in the right direction but still not as it was before repeat the above steps and change to this. |
