| 50095 | 2002-05-22 05:21:00 | System: PII 266, 32Mb ram shared (is a laptop), Windoze 98 FE, IE 5.5, 3Gb hard drive partition into 3: c:(windoze) 1.07Gb, D:(programs) 1.66 Gb and E:(files) 298Mb Well, I decided to relocate the IE cache folder to the root directory of D:, purely to see if there was any difference. Apart from having to fiddle round with my AV scanner a bit, no real major issues arose. I have set the cache to 60Mb. The result: My PC has stopped crashing, it works smoothly, and browsing is a bit faster. I'll think I'll leave the cache on D: :o) Cheers Robo for the idea. It works! (for me anyway) |
