| 50221 | 2002-05-22 23:42:00 | I?m just wondering: If Telstra is good at running a business with a technology focus, how come they didn?t know that when they change their back-end systems there would be problems to their Paradise (and other?) customers? I?m not an IT or business kingpin, and yet it seemed pretty obvious to me that this is what would happen. I would have thought that it would be common sense as well to inform customers of any changes to Paradise?s systems and the potential implications. That way when I had to wait a half hour to tell me that the fault was on their end not mine, I would have been somewhat more understanding. We hear time and again that it doesn?t make good business sense to alienate your customers, and with Paradise I have come to expect nothing less than the best, so anything other than that leaves me wondering what on earth is going wrong. Paradise was working fine, why is there a need to change??? Any comments? I?d like to know what other people think. Cheers, MarkOS X |

| 50222 | 2002-05-23 00:30:00 | Just curious, what are the changes to 'their back-end systems'? I'm on cable-paradise, and seem to be uneffected. Has this effected dial-up or something? In what way? |

| 50225 | 2002-05-23 01:43:00 | Dial up to Paradise has been somewhat irregular... to put it mildly. I originally asked the question if others were having the same problem (20:30 21/05/02), and had 23 replies... but now the forum isn't showing any of them (got the blank page bluessss), BUT if you go to view by date mode you can see the posts here: www.idg.net.nz Hope this url doesnt muck-up the post.... grrrr J. |
