50214 2002-05-22 21:05:00 I have been using my present computer for 12 mths. A few weeks ago when I tried to send email in Outlook Express I kept getting messages such as 'unable to locate pop3, unable to find ISP, Unable to make contact in past 300 sec do you want to wait or try later. Telecomms tech. advice is : replace PC-cillan with some other anti virus.
Any ideas?

50215 2002-05-22 21:55:00 What have you tried already.

Have you tried reinstalling Outlook Express,
Have you tried deleting and then adding your account details etc again. This could help.
Before you go and buy a new antivirus system, have you tried to just uninstall the software and see if the makes a difference. If it doesn't then I doubt that it is the antivirus software.

Try resetting your pop3 and smtp account to your ISP address and sending/receiving directly. If this works reload the PC-Cillin over the top - the settings should change to localhost - and retry.
