| 50217 | 2002-05-22 21:33:00 | In Microsoft Outlook I have had a new bar appear above the email headings. It has written in it ? Drag a column header here to group by that column?. I?m sure it wasn?t always there. I have looked everywhere to find how to get rid of it but haven?t been successful. Does anyone know how to do that? Thankyou John |

To disable this click VIEW | TOOLBARS | ADVANCED (Note: there may already be a tick mark against the Advance toolbar option). In any case you want to enable the advanced toolbar to get to the Group By Box. With the Advanced Toolbar option selected (ticked) another toolbar should appear on the outlook toolbars near the top. The option to turn off is the icon which looks like a pageicon with a bar at the top just to the right of the messages dropdown box, if you hover your mouse over the icon they should give a tooltip popup with the name of the function. Just click the Group By Box icon and the 'Drag a column header here to group by that column' will disappear. |
