50365 2002-05-23 09:47:00 I've selected 'None' in Explorer Shortcut overlay, but the arrows still appear. Have reinstalled Tweak UI, but no response. Any ideas? Guest (0)
50366 2002-05-23 11:29:00 Hi Gary, this problem cropped up a shortwhile ago in postings on this site. The shorcut arrows became non-removable after installing IE security upgrades.
For some reason the upgrades replaced the shell32.dll file, which amongst other functions contains icons.

If you are using Win98, you can extract the original shell32.dll from the Win98 installation CD using System File Checker.
The replaced shell32.dll file will be backed up in c:\windows\helpdesk\sfc just in case you wish to put it back.

Using the original file will restore the TweakUI function again.

There doesnt appear to be any problems arising from restoring the earlier shell32.dll.
