| 50340 | 2002-05-23 07:16:00 | I have two XP machines set up to share one internet connection. The IP address of the host is 192.168.0.1 the IP address of the client is fixed 192.168.0.2 DNS Server and default gateway set to IP address of host machine. Works fine with no probs until I open outpost. I have allowed NetBIOS traffic from the client IP address but no luck. It used to work previously when I had AnalogX proxy installed, but now I am using native XP sharing and it don't work!! Is there anything I have to enable to tell XP there is a firewall there, or anything in outpost to tell it to allow internet connection to the client. Internet on the host still functions normally, just no go on the client. Cheers G P Oh, btw thanks to everyone helping with my slow bootup prob - back under a minute again!! |
