| 50312 | 2002-05-23 05:36:00 | Hi I have been reading some posts and there seems to be a lot of problems with paradise internet at the mo. I live in Wellington and have been having a lot of problem connecting. It says that is connecting but then it says could not make connection or something along those lines or sometimes it says invalid username or password. I was just wondering if anybody had got a final word from paradise with any details to why this is happening? Thanks all. |

| 50314 | 2002-05-23 07:39:00 | Am in paradise. I have been with paradise since day 1 & have never had any problems connecting. Connect first time everytime I also have a saturn phone line wonder if this is the difference. If you have a telecum phone line could be where the bottle neck is. Don't you just love them. | Guest (0) | ||
| 50315 | 2002-05-23 09:03:00 | Yes I have had the same problems with paradise lately to the point where I screwed up my system trying to find 'MY' problem. I have put that ISP on hold and am trying hyper.net.nz the jury is still out on their performance at the moment but at least I am getting on immediately. | Guest (0) | ||
| 50316 | 2002-05-23 09:56:00 | Hi I've been having lots of trouble on a Paradise connection with Saturn lines. Have partially cured it by changing to a full hardware (ISA) modem. Speeds and connection times and No of attempts to connect still aren't great but a big improvement. Bugs in the Telstra/Saturn/Clear merger. Cheers Murray P |

I was going to stick with them despite tempting deals elsewhere, but if there isn't a rapid improvement or some kind of explanation in the next couple of days, I'll be voting with my feet. |

When I got my first computer 2 years ago I had no end of trouble connecting to Paradise. I thought Paradise must be the problem (new computer after all) but it wasn't until I replaced the modem (after a lightening strike) that the problems ended. I have had no problems getting or maintaining a connection since. It might pay to get your hardware tested to see if the fault is there. PF |

| 50319 | 2002-05-23 10:52:00 | Hi,I access Paradise via a Saturn line here in Lower Hutt and so far have not had problems. Can connect first time, most times.I am connecting via IP net 087307272,I get a better connection using this number. I also have a Actrix dial up account,it is a waste of time using Actrix at peak time. |

When i made the change, about 1= years ago, my connection speed did go up, I was with ihug at the time. I am now on a cable, so of course i cannot coment on dial-up connectivity issues first hand. I have observed however, that in the last 2 or 3 months things seem to have suddenly got ALOT worse for alot of people |

It appeared to be a problem connecting from telecom (jetstream) thru to paradise However I put this down to the major Changes the organisation is going thru and so far my connections have gone back to normal |
