I went through all the network and dialer properties that I could think of, and couldnt find anything. She lives in a rural area, but she can browse without any difficulty, so whats going on? |

Operating system, computer specs etc, at a very wild guess I would say something like a firewall could be preventing but like I said more details would help tremendously. cheers sam m |

I know of many people, though, who seem to have difficulties in running it. Normally this boils down to some setting or other that might be different on their own computers (rather than the default settings of the programme itself). Check to see if a firewall is running, otherwise it might be a connection or internet security option that's not right. I think in the case of all of those programmes they leave an open port (or something) to receive uninitiated communication and sometimes this is blocked. Hope this helps. |

The computer is a celeron 700, with 128 MB SDRAM, 8MB videocard, onboard sound, MSI motherboard and windows 2000. I will go through and look at whats happening in the close programs box, to see if anything else is open. |
