| 50756 | 2002-05-26 00:14:00 | Very similar to Curly's problem except the Modems-More Info shows the modem is working and installed on Com4. No red X's or yellow exclamation marks in System-Device Manager. Hyperterminal recognises the modem but just won't dial out and neither will Dial-Up Networking. Win98SE,32 ram, 10gig HD. THanks for any ideas David |

| 50757 | 2002-05-26 02:28:00 | Make sure dial up is configured to use the correct modem. Also check the phone line is in the correct socket in the modem, should be in the line socket not the phone socket. If you have call minder and there is a call in your message box, the beeps will stop the modem getting the dial tone. |

| 50758 | 2002-05-26 03:57:00 | Thanks for your comments KO. I'm plugged into 'line' with a phone in 'phone' and dial tone on the phone. Call minder but no beeps. Only one modem. Got me stumped! David |
