50746 2002-05-26 00:08:00 never been here before.local computer shop attempted to put a new force 2 64mb into our HP Celeron 400's AGP slot but it would not boot or if it did once it wouldn't twice. Can I expect to put newer h'ware into this machine. thank you. Guest (0)
50747 2002-05-26 00:32:00 It's probably more likely to be some sort of conflict between programs or hardware, a similar thing happened to me with a Tv card not so long ago, somewhere like Dick smiths should know about what works with what. Hope this is some kinda help. Guest (0)
50748 2002-05-26 00:56:00 yes you should be able to upgrade with newer hardware.

if the computer shop can't get it to go and can't find out why it won't go, then find a better computer shop.

if you post what area you live in someone may be able to recommend someone.

50749 2002-05-26 04:10:00 Does this computer have an on-board video, and share part of the main memory?

If so, you would need to disaable the onboard video (and remove the meory sharing setting in the BIOS), before trying to use a plugin card.
