| 51014 | 2002-05-27 05:44:00 | Here's an interesting one for you all- Last night I copied some data files (.mpg, .avi) onto a re-writeable CD (using Adaptec EasyCD v4, on Win ME) - adding some extra files to a disc already burned. Eventually seemed to work (though I have ongoing battles with EasyCD): then when I checked the CD, it showed as an audio file, with three .cda (I think) files on it. No way can I see the disc contents nor get the files to play (even using Windows Media Player). Wonder how it happened? More to the point, how do I get the original files back? My only idea is to use the copy function on the CD software, get it to check the files on the way through and hope that will get it sorted - maybe see what's going through in the Windows/Temp file it uses. Suggestions? |
