50881 2002-05-26 12:52:00 I found an add in the mag 'NETGUIDE' latest ed for a Free Web Hosting and although it's for personal use only and space restricted to 3Mb thought I would give it a go!

Problem is I can't get anything on it to at lesst say it's 'Under Construction'!

In my Internet Explorer/Options/Advanced,there is an unchecked box,Enable Folder Veiw for FTP Sites.Should this box be checked?

I am a little apprehensive about applying it as it is in a Security zone??

Thanks in advance,Kiwitas,;-)

50882 2002-05-26 14:03:00 If you want to be able to use your web browser to view FTP served files then you can have it enabled or not. I have it enabled but I usually use an FTP client to view FTP sites.

You'll need an FTP client to upload your files but only if the host allows FTP uploads. I use BulletProof FTP which is good. The place hosting your webpages might have instructions on what you do to get your site to show up.
