| 1301652 | 2012-09-17 18:22:00 | I am running windows xp home editiion. oh a compaq d530. I had to re-stalled. Am running internet explorer 6 and i can't even update that it won't let me. Does anyone know what may have happen. I can't even update or installed yahoo or anything. Thank you for helping |

| 1301655 | 2012-09-17 21:39:00 | Where in NZ are you? If youre in NZ? Maybe someone in here, can help you out. If youre using windowsupdate, I think you need IE 7/8. IE6 is no longer supported. And you need SP2/3 if you want to install IE8. That could be what that error is telling you (the service pack install may have some files, IE8 needs, when you try to install it) |

| 1301657 | 2012-09-17 22:32:00 | Have a look at, www.softwarepatch.com . The download is in the left column. It is not possible to download SP1 or 1a anymore but the above link for SP@ incorporates SP1a in it. YOu should then download and instal SP3 and then upgrade IE to IE8. |

| 1301660 | 2012-09-17 23:07:00 | when i got to the system this is what am running i gusses xp home edition 2002 intel r pentium 4 cpu 3.06 ghz 504 mb of ram. it won't let me download anything when i got to the window update i get this you may be unable to access the windows update website from windows xp windows 2000 or windows server 2003. then when i do try download anything its says this iesetup.exe entry point is not found or the procedure entry point shreggetualue could not be located in the dynamic link library shlwapi.dll. it says i downlaod the sp1 but were would i look to see it i did. thanks again |

| 1301661 | 2012-09-17 23:15:00 | The windowsupdate site wont work, until you install IE8. Since IE6 is no longer supported on the windowsupdate site. So, did you download SP1a? And I think you need SP2 / 3 to install IE8 (so install SP1a, if you downloaded it then install SP2/3 to get it up to date).
