| 1301125 | 2012-09-15 06:21:00 | I have a ToshibaTecra P5 computer (Win7) that suddenly seems stuck on 640X480 resolution. There is dotted lines through display. I've tried restore, but no luck. Any suggestions. Only seems to go like this as windows starts. Thanks for help Pete |

| 1301128 | 2012-09-15 08:48:00 | well, a bit out of left field here, but could you try booting into a linux live cd, and see if that still has a bad display? | Nick G (16709) | ||
| 1301129 | 2012-09-16 00:12:00 | Dotted lines could be caused by failing video ram (either shared ram (from mobo memory), or dedicated (on video chip)), try a new ram card (if it's shared). If it has Nvidia graphics and was built around 2007, it may have the motherboard/graphics problem that HP DV6000's etc suffered from. news.cnet.com |
