1276840 2012-05-22 23:01:00 Is it possible to "Bcc" a comment to a second recipient without the "To" recipient seeing the comment?

At the moment I have to "forward" my original reply if I want convey my comments on to another party :(

This is for when I don't want to utilise the "Cc" function.

1276841 2012-05-22 23:11:00 Yep ... you should be able to .. but you'll have to find the setting to enable it in whatever program you're using ... MS Office Outlook is easy, same as Hotmail and most of the others. SP8's (9836)
1276842 2012-05-22 23:25:00 No you can only BCC the original content. Alex B (15479)

Are you talking about BCC or BCC with additional comments? There was an add on for Outlook BCCthis but the company has folded and it stopped working.

1276844 2012-05-22 23:48:00 "Bcc" with additional comments :)

SP8's - I think you are wrong :)

1276845 2012-05-23 00:22:00 Yeah ... sorry, you are correct. I misread the initial question ... both the original sender plus the Bcc will see the reply, Bcc will only stop the original sender from knowing you have sent it on to a third party.

My sincere apologies for putting you wrong ... :crying

1276847 2012-05-23 00:52:00 If you are talking about just part of the email then I would say no unless there is something along the lines of what PaulD mentioned. mikebartnz (21)
1276848 2012-05-23 01:46:00 As an aside, BCC does NOT necessarily hide multiple BCC recipients from EACH OTHER.

It is a common assumption that they are hidden, and a lot of clients work this way, however the RFC's do not specify this behavior and some have been embarrassed by clients that respect the pre-email convention of BCC recipients being visible to each other.
