1301844	2012-09-23 03:30:00	Did you try the link to fix the MBR that Dugimodo posted in #18 ? Dumb Question, but you did remove the Cloned Drive from the external enclosure and put it in the laptop after cloning, not trying to boot from the external drive ?	wainuitech (129)

MBR...Yes I read it thro & got scared so didnt continue.. Yes to HDs. at the moment the 40GB is back in the laptop & using now. The 160GB is on the desk, all good gear, but with a black cloud of "PJ Ineptitude" hovering over it.	Poppa John (284)
1301846	2012-09-23 07:25:00	You must repair MBR to use the 160GB drive, otherwise Desade will have helped you for nothing. Don't be scared, it isn't that tricky. (wish I lived near you as I could fix for you and I believe cake is often a reward :D )	KarameaDave (15222)

The blue power light is on. The drive does not show up in "My Computer". I hope I havent stuffed it. PJ	Poppa John (284)
1301848	2012-09-23 08:42:00	As KarameaDave said, nothing to be scared of, that link does show each step. Remember its ONLY the clone. Meaning as long as you put the Working drive off to one side, and dont mix them up, you cant do any damage. If you work on the CLONED drive and it turns to custard - so what, nothing lost, as you still have the original.	wainuitech (129)
