| 1277260 | 2012-05-25 21:24:00 | Like mainly older sci-fi's Fantastic Voyage (with Rachel Welch) Dune Ohh yeah. Ignoring how well she filled out that white wetsuit, the degree of sci tech and microbiology involved in a movie of that generation made it worthy of the list. Aliens and Terminator 2 also make my list. The Matrix could potentially be in there too. I'm too damn forgetful (or the movies were too forgetful) to list any of the others. Really looking forward to seeing Promethius, which will hopefully make this list. Back to the Future was great, but I don't feel that such a kid friendly movie really qualifies for the sci fi tag. Personally, I'd like to see Red Dwarf somehow boxed into best Sci Fi, although they're lacking a true movie (but it's fun). Star Trek (with the 'original' crew) is also close to my heart, but the movies are all too darn campy to justify a place on a serious list. |

| 1277264 | 2012-05-26 06:55:00 | Yes Dune was another good one. :) I was not impressed by Dune, but that may be due to being forced to watch some more modern examples of the main character's abysmal acting skills. Dune was his first movie role & it really shows. |

Glad Riddick has been mentioned, watched it a heap and always enjoy Vinny (except the fast and furious rubbish). Independence Day is so bad its almost good lol, but watched it again not so long ago. Looking forward to the next Star Trek movie which I hope will be out this year. |
