1276536 2012-05-21 06:52:00 Suppose Key will be able to take up shares in the three companies as an individual ?.

He could make quite a killing with his $70m.

Or would it be a conflict of interest ?.

It would all be done via his Trusts.

1276537 2012-05-21 06:58:00 Labour will be in power, get everything back to what it was before National stuffed everything up. Cycle will start yet again with National selling state assets. QW. (15883)
1276538 2012-05-21 07:10:00 And three guesses who the "consultants" had lunch with last week ...

Talking about "having lunch", have you seen this? It alludes to what could be called "enhanced lobbying opportunities" (my term for it) if you can afford the price of a ticket to certain functions. www.stuff.co.nz

And then Labor will claim a "mandate" to do what ever they like as well..

1276540 2012-05-22 00:10:00 Yep,nothing has changed...it was a bad idea before the election and it's a bad idea now....but those of you who voted for National were warned then and so it's a bit late to be complaining now that they are doing what they said they would. Its such a stupid idea that you have to wonder what/who is behind it and who is paying who...because it is obviously not in New Zealand's best interest. ruup (1827)

I didn't vote for Hone Key but there are plenty here who did, or so they made out at the time

1276542 2012-05-22 02:01:00 Labour will be in power, give everything away to bludgers, and stuff everything up. Cycle will start yet again with National having to sell state assets to recoup the money.

Fixed that for you. There are much better solutions than selling state assets, but unfortunately, none of the political parties seem to have the creativity to table them, and the last 20 years has seen far too many handouts for the government to afford NOT to do *something* to get the money back very soon. Asset sales are a bad solution to a problem caused by a long string of bad decisions.

1276543 2012-05-22 02:18:00 Where is this KEY going to lead NZ to? bk T (215)
1276544 2012-05-22 02:52:00 It would all be done via his Trusts.

Same difference, if he is the "HEAD" TRUSTEE, which one would expect.

Us Mums' and Dads' who are supposed to have all the wealth, should take up the offers'. Issue prices we be a bit pricey for us, so ours will be taken up by O/Seas pension funds, mainly China, lol.

China and India no doubt, free trade agreement countries.
