I'm getting an error message when I try and check for updates in Google Earth 6.2.2.6613. When I go to help > check online for updates > an error message pops up stating "Google Earth Network Error. Unable to contact the server for updates". Would those of you with Google Earth installed mind checking to see if you're having the same issue? I'd like to know if it's a wide-spread prob or just me.
I've done some googling and tried the solutions here: support.google.com Reached both servers OK in IE so followed all of the instructions in what to do but still no luck. Next I un-installed GE & re-installed using the standalone installer rather than the bundle and it installed fine, but I am STILL getting the same error message when I check for updates. The good thing is it appears I'm running the latest version, but I still want to solve the problem of not being able to check for updates via the UI. |
