1276767 2012-05-22 13:15:00 Yeah that's a pretty major issue they're facing there with the hacking :-/ Chilling_Silence (9)
1276768 2012-05-22 22:46:00 Thats ok, i have the boots of escapability.

Turning out to be a fail. All my friends have stopped playing it.

I dont know about these koreans that run through the game in 7 hours, they do realise there is a nightmare mode and then a hell mode, and then another one after that....I can tell you they wont run through hell mode in 7 hours.

EDIT: With diablo 1 and 2 i probably spent more time trying to obtain better items, and farming for gold than i did actually in the dungeons on the quests

1276769 2012-05-22 22:57:00 I'm still enjoying it, a little dissapointed with the length of it(19.5 hours for normal without rushing on my barbarian) and not seeing much incentive to play multiplayer as yet. I did sell a legendary dagger for 7500 gold on the AH which seemed like a lot at the time but turns out not to be.

I'm currently playing a hardcore demon hunter and have made it to act 2 at level 17, it's a lot more tense as hardcore and tends to change your playstyle a bit (no more charging in like you're invunerable).

As for the hacking, no surprises there and not blizzards fault really. WoW has always had issues with hackers and several people I know have had their accounts hacked. I use the free authenticator app on my smartphone for extra security and I reccomend it for anyone playing a battlenet game, it's also available for iPhone and there is a cheap keyring device you can order if you don't have a smartphone.

The sad fact is because hackers can make real money from these games they will always be targets so it's even worse than other games where hackers are mainly just trying to cheat. I will find a hot poker and a clamping device if I ever meet one of these guys in person.

Authenticator is apparently bypassed and rendered useless according to Toms Hardware...

Yeah I read that too . I'd still use it though, no point making the hackers lives any easier .

I've never (touch wood) had an issue myself . Of the two people I have some details of regarding their accounts being hacked it looks like they both got tricked into installing a keylogger . One of them got it from a dodgy website while trying to find an addon and the other was fooled by an official seeming E-mail .

Something that I personally think is ridiculous is when the hackers are in a different country altogether . I think it should be easy to deny access to your account from other regions unless by prior arrangement (for people who travel) . Sure there are ways around that too but the hackers would have to work a little harder in some cases .

I play over mobile sometimes, it often blocks my account and makes me change the password when I do it but lately it has just gone straight in . Either they relaxed the security (which would be bad) or they have recognised the two different access methods I commonly use and stopped objecting (which would be good) .
