| 1276478 | 2012-05-20 08:55:00 | You never see it coming, You don't plan for it, and when it happens things are never the same again. Plans, lives, goals, all in turmoil, That which was the norm becomes distant, abnormal, unable to be grasped. Its like the color has been drained out of the world, replaced with gray, and where ever you try and focus, you see chaos, disorder, trouble. And yet, Life goes on, and there is at least hope. Hope that my amp can be repaired. Anyone think it will be a simple fix? She cut out when in use. Now if you power it up it cycles through its boot then turns off. I pulled the lid off, brushed out a thick layer of dust, sprayed here in electro-clean, let her dry, powered her up, smoke came out of the area I have highlighted. Down there are the speaker wire terminals. Thoughts? 3812 |

| 1276481 | 2012-05-20 09:09:00 | It's not a simple short of the speaker wires is it? I notice that the heatsinks (representing the power amplifiers) are not in that area | BBCmicro (15761) | ||
| 1276482 | 2012-05-20 09:13:00 | I didn't see any visual damage, that cap looks fine, The smoke that came out was directly above that black box attached to the rear panel, I was following my nose at the time as I could definitely smell it. I killed the power when I saw the smoke so can't pinpoint exactly where it came from. |

| 1276484 | 2012-05-20 09:40:00 | Perhaps something is shorted in the speaker terminals. It may have a protection circuit that detects a short and turns it off. | pine-o-cleen (2955) | ||
