| 51305 | 2002-05-28 10:06:00 | Does anyone know a dos command to format my hard drive and delete all partitions at the same time? As I made three partitions and Windows did not accept my third... Now when I go to delete my partitions through fdisk it comes up with the message 'fixed disk error' Any help would be great! |

Then make a partition which is the whole disk, save and exit. Format that partition. Or, if you want several partitions, make them, save and exit and format each of them. FORMAT will work on only one partition at a time. As far as it knows, each one is a separate physical disk. FDISK can't delete an extended partition if it has any logical partitions in it. |
