| 51582 | 2002-05-30 08:33:00 | I ma running windows xp home on a machine with a 1.2GHz processor and 256MB of RAM and a 40 gig 5400rpm HD. When I run photoshop 7 it sometimes runs really slow and it also hangs when I try to use the paintcan or magic erraser. Has anybody else experienced these problems or know what is going on. | Guest (0) | ||

You could try increasing your swap file by going into system properties, advanced, performance, settings, advanced, virtual memory, change and set it so that you have a reasonable amount. If you don't mind losing 128-256MB of Hard Drive space you should set it to this. Hopefully this fixes the speed problem and it hanging. If not others may have suggestions too. |

I got plenty of HD space so im not worried about running out of space or any thing. On another note photoshop 7 seems to be running well today so prehaps some other program hadnt let go of RAM, but i would still like to increase the swap file |
