Can I safely delete all the files and sub-folders in the WINDOWS\TEMP folder please?

Yes, under usual circustances. It just means you will have to redownload things if you delete them, then want to reinstall them which isn't too much of a biggy, unless you're extremely worried about after effects I would go for it. Just don't blame me if you do want something back, I can't decide for you, so let's just say it's recommended. |

It would probably be safest *not* to delete any files of the current day. They might be still needed --- any files you have open in word processors or databases, or ... |

At the end of an internet session I disconnect, delete the History files, Cookies and Temp. Internet Files. This should be safe as you are no longer using what is written to these files. If you don't you can accumulate tons of 'junk' that will slow your computer down. |
