| 51448 | 2002-05-29 11:06:00 | I have an internal 56K Conexant modem running under WIn 98SE. I use WinFaxPro for faxing. Faxes out are no problem Faxes in are rarely received as the fax program says they are a voice call. Faxes from the Telecom test number come in OK. Faxes from a very few external machines arrive OK but generally when a fax comes in the modem answers the call and then detects it as a voice call - incorrectly - and fails to receive the fax. Any suggestions ? Thanks |

Try configuring the system to recieve Class 2 faxes and play around with the silence options, these are things that have helped me to get better fax recption, although its still not perfect. I presume Winfax has these settings as I have not used it before. |
