51832 2002-05-31 22:26:00 Grrrrr, well I go to download mSN EXplorer, it dwnloads just fine through all the steps.
Then about a minute into the 'Tour' I get 'Microsoft has experianced an internal error and must close, we apologise.......'
This has happened abuot 5 times.
To uninstall it I go to 'progames-add & remove'then to 'Run' & enter 'regedit and delete all fragments of MSN6. But I still keep getting the error.
Short of wanting to smash my computer,I thought of you guys,to my computers good fortune.
I have Pentium 166mhz,windows'95,62% free space, Internet Explorer 5.5 plus tools.
I have been told that it is due to 'file settings'????
If you could help that would make my day!! Also save my computers arse.

Kind Regards

Do you mean 'msn' Explorer or Microsoft Internet Explorer (IE6)?

There is a difference, in that msn Explorer is designed to integrate with all the msn services like .net, Passport and Hotmail, and whilst pretty to look at, is not really the capable browser that Internet Explorer is.

I suggest that, if you live in the states, connect to the net via msn and msn is your world then by all means install it, BUT, I think you are trying to install Internet Explorer 6.

If this is the case, get it off any recent PC World Cover discs. Saves waiting for the download ;-)

51835 2002-06-01 04:06:00 If you are talking about IE6 it cannot be installed on windows 95.

51837 2002-06-02 01:09:00 Leanne,

I am probably wrong, but I believe MSN Explorer 6 is based on Internet Explorer 6, and so will not run under Windows 95 (IE6 will only run on Win98 or later). This is probably why you're having no luck.
