| 51977 | 2002-06-01 14:13:00 | I'm running WinXP with IE6. For some reason, whenever i open Internet Explorer, there is a URL in my address bar. It is not in my history folder - and clearing cookies, temporary internet files, and my history does no good. I have never even been to the url before, so I am guessing it came with something I installed recently. I had a look in regedit, but found no mention of it at all. How the hell do I make it go away, will reinstalling internet explorer do any good? | Guest (0) | ||
| 51978 | 2002-06-01 14:23:00 | Sounds like spyware to me. If you post the URL, we may be able to recognise it as a known nasty and give specific instructions. in the meantime head off to www.lavasoft.de and download the latest version of adaware. Run the software to rd your system of spyware. Careful if you use peer-to-peer apps like Kazaa as these have spyware necessary to run the program. G P |
