52142 2002-06-02 23:07:00 John,

Firstly, its impolite to shout.

Secondly, plenty of people hit the 'POST' just once, and their message is multiposted. I've done it a few times, as have a few others of the regulars - it makes no difference; there's something somewhere that has decided that a post needs to be posted multiple times, and so it is, even when the POST button has been pressed just once. Just live with it, everyone else does.

Mike.

52144 2002-06-03 02:21:00 I sorry John, but noone is really entitled to tell people off about multiple posts at the moment.

This forum has been displaying some posts multiple times with just ONE click of the post button. I think 18 times is the record. So, until they fix it, it is wise to give people the benefit of the doubt.

You are correct however - just because the page is slow in loading, there is no need to push the button again - it will still go through eventually.

52145 2002-06-03 22:25:00 Yeah i've done it, hit post, noticed that it is taking forever, checked something else, written/read an email, come back, 'Bing!' 'server has cut connection'. 'O great' thinks me, hit repost seeing it cant have worked... repeat... repeat.. swore a bit.. repeat... go to pressf1 =hour later, o darn 4 or more posts. I've even had multipost from one click.

Ultimatly the whole issue will be obsolete (i hope) when the new rebuilt pressf1 is sitting on the new server real soon. In the mean time, tolerance and patients are qualities we might learn right ^%&*^&^% now!
