52131 2002-06-02 19:29:00 Its all legal talk as found also on faxes and some mail.

Stupid thing when you think about it though, it always appears at the bottom which is the last part of the mesage we all read for some strange reason, by then the warning about reading someone's mail is a little redunant, we have already read it.

Now, if we were to open the message and straight away go to the bottom of the message first off to see whether any one could read the message or only the intended receiver, now that would make more sense.

We just don't live in a logical world any more.

NO ATTACHMENT WAS SENT WITH THIS E-MAIL,
IF THERE IS ONE, IT IS A UNDETECTED VIRUS, PLEASE LET ME KNOW..
At the bottom of the Email.
Which someone else in a Email group changed it to
NO ATTACHMENT WAS SENT WITH THIS E-MAIL,
IF YOU FIND ONE, IT'S YOUR PROBLEM.....
If I send a attachment it gets changed to
One ATTACHMENT WAS SENT WITH THIS E-MAIL,
IF THERE IS more than ONE, IT IS A UNDETECTED VIRUS, PLEASE LET ME KNOW..
It might not stop virus, but if I get a virus that sends out more virus attachments, then this might alert someone (I hope)

Good point about having it at the bottom of the Email I should cut and paste it to the top.

52133 2002-06-03 05:16:00 Richard, its a matter of commercial liability. It is very easy to send email to the wrong destination, I have received several in error, just as I have received several faxes in error.

When you pay $thousands per year for professional indemnity insurance (as I do) there is a requirement to issue disclaimers, albeit they are perhaps worthless.

We would all happily remove them, just clear it with our insurers and legal people first??
