| 52406 | 2002-06-04 08:17:00 | When i start my computer up in safe mode and check the devices several have double ups. the cdrom has my cd-rw twice, under monitors it has default monitor, plug and play monitor and Phillips 107S(107S2) twice. Under network adapters my sky media card appears twice. my questions are-will removing the duplicates be of any advantage to me, and is it simply a matter of deleting the duplicates then installing the appropriate drivers. pIII-1GHz,98se,leadtek Geforce2 Ti,soundblaster live, phillips 107S,ihug satellite card, internal V.90 modem, network card cheers Mark |

In device manager - click on the device and look at properties - choose disable in this hardware profile Reboot - carry on as you like until the test profile does not work, or you have what you want. Delete the test profile and apply the good changes to your normal hardware profile. |
