52293 2002-06-03 22:50:00 Hi

I got some problem with my Panasonic KX-P6500 Personal Laser Printer.

It prints OK for the first few pages nice and clean, but the printouts get 'dirty' after that. I have to switch it off for a while then switch it back on again to get a clean printout.

Any one knows where I can get this fix at a reasonable price? I rang up MEC and they want to charge me $49.00 to diagnos and takes 4 - 5 days just to diagnos!

Recommendations, please.

Cheers

52294 2002-06-03 23:59:00 try this solution...take out the toner cartridge give it a bit shake ..this is to just evenly spread the toner ink inside the cartridge....and u havent mention clearly if the printed side or underneath that is dirty....then it could be the rollers that is dirty....clean the rollers with a cleaning solution...take out the toner first if ur gonna clean it.

I hope this helps.

52295 2002-06-04 00:45:00 Since you said that it needs to be left off for a while, it could be that the printer is overheating.

Check that none of the ventilation ports on the sides, back and bottom are covered with anything, and that they have a fair bit of room for air to flow.

Just a thought.
