52424 2002-06-04 08:57:00 I have 12.1 GB of hard drive. When I check properties of the recycle bin, the drive size shown is only 1.99GB which at a setting of 10% gives 204MB available for recycle bin storage. This is about right, but shouldn't the drive size shown be 12.1GB? with about 1.21GB available in the bin? Free available disk space is 5.38GB. Can someone explain this discrepancy please? Guest (0)
52425 2002-06-04 10:16:00 That's very interesting. The same happens in Win 95 and also Win98SE if the drive or partition size is greater than 1.99GB. If less, then the actual size is shown together with the default 10% bin size for that drive.

Does this mean then that the waste bin size will never be bigger than 204MB for each drive or partition no matter how big the drive?

This needs a bit more investigation. If I find out why it does this, I'll post back.

Cheers
