52301 2002-06-04 00:24:00 Hi,

I need to add more RAM to the puter.
Currently running 384M 133 SDRAM.

Is it worth buying DDR ram even though the motherboard is limited to 133?

Trying vainly to future proof :)

Cheers

52302 2002-06-04 01:05:00 you can't use ddr unless the motherboard can support it. the odds are to use ddr you will need a new motherboard.

check the specs on your motherboard as to the max ram it can take. also not what slots you can use, what size modules you can use and how many memory banks it can support.

mine runs nice on 512 meg :-)

future proof?? very hard thing to do. good luck.
