| 52576 | 2002-06-05 06:37:00 | Hi, I have set up my PC for two users now. Previously it had only one. (Win XP Pro) I had saved my office settings using the 'Save my Settings wizard' in office tools. This had prevoiusly worked to restore the backup. (Office XP) Now, when I restore the file it tells me the path for outlook.pst is invalid. It gives the old path with the old user profile, and the old drive (everything is on C: now, and it used to be on G:) If I point to the correct location, the same error appears, and then outlook opens with my computer open in the folder bar instead of the usual outlook folders ie inbox. All other settings (except contacts) seem to restore OK - untested though. Word and the rest seem to have restored OK. Any ideas on how to make outlook restore to the correct place? btw G: no longer exists. Cheers G P |

Luckily I had backed up my contacts and folders seperately only a few days before the 'save settings' backup, so only lost a couple of rules and caontacts which were fresh enough for me to remember. I think it had something to do with the drive change. I will play with the OPW10USR.ini file tonight and see if I can suss it. Cheers anyway, but i decided a manual fix was less effort. G P |
