| 52531 | 2002-06-05 04:26:00 | The camera downloaded well before replacing an Intel motherboard with Soltek motherboard, and installing a Matrox Millennium G550 video card, and a Sound Blaster Live soundcard. Now I cannot download photos via USB, but can do so with a serial port connection. All drivers have been updated. Visiting Kodak, VIA, and MICROSOFT web sites and reading of other people having trouble with several brands of digital cameras, leads me to suspect the VIA chipset. I realise though that the new video card and sound card may also be contributing. I cannot find a solution to the problem, and wonder if anyone has had similar difficulties. My Computer is a P111 800Mhz computer with SOLTEK SL-65KV2-T motherboard that uses VIA chipset (VT 82C 694T and VT82C 686B). I use Windows ME. |

I think ME can access most cameras automatically via windows explorer (XP does; not 100% sure about ME- but worth a try). Try uninstalling the Kodak software and try to use MEs' default program? Hope this helps, Tell us if it works or not. |
