| 52838 | 2002-06-06 23:26:00 | I'm an author working on an A5 size book with double columns of text and footnotes on most pages, using Word 7. My problem is that every so often, for no apparent reason, a footnote will extend over the page to the bottom of the next page, sometimes just one word. The length of the footnote does not seem to be a factor. I copied a page with the problem to another computer running Word 7 and it did the same. I have tried all the logical fixes to no avail. |

Evidently there was a bug in earlier versions of Word which was rectified in Word 2000. However by my ticking Orphan Control in the Footnotes Style, about 90% of the problem footnotes are now behaving themselves. | Guest (0) | ||
