| 52792 | 2002-06-06 07:33:00 | thanks heaps biff for your advice! i downloaded the intellieye software for microsoft and now my ps/2 scroll mouse is fully functional. your the first person to sucessfully solve one of my problems! another problem though, no one has yet been able to help me stop the c: drive window from appearing when windows starts. could someone please resolve this problem once and for all and get into my good graces? |

| 52793 | 2002-06-06 08:15:00 | Hi Craig, the c:drive problem, have you posted this before without giving a name because i've responded twice with a tested fix and had no feed back. Both postings have now fallen of the list so I got no answers to my questions. So here goes again, What version of windows are you using and have you checked the file win.ini on the lines starting LOAD= and RUN= If you are using win 95 please post back the contents of those lines. | 52794 | 2002-06-07 13:27:00 | I would suggest you go to the Control Panel and run the Passwords applet. Set it so 'users can customise their desktop'. Reboot. When prompted for a username/password, make up a new username, don't set any password. Once windows comes up go back to the Passwords applet and set the computer so 'all users use the same settings' press OK, and reboot the computer. Cross your fingers and hope the C: window is gone.... | Guest (0) | ||
