| 52749 | 2002-06-06 02:00:00 | Some of my CDRoms are no longer recognised by the CD writer. When I check the driver it reports as Microsofts Consumer Windows Publisher. Should I search for a better driver on the web?? Thanks |

| 52750 | 2002-06-06 04:38:00 | If it is only certain CDs that no longer work they could be dirty (or scratched). Have you given the CDs a clean? Wipe them gently with a clean damp soft cloth from the centre outwards, not round and round clockwise. Post back here if that doesn't help. |

| 52751 | 2002-06-06 08:18:00 | it could be the drive. i had a cd-rom that could read only originals and not my CD-R backup of my documents while they worked perfectly on my laptop. Use a test s/w to check out. CD-R and CD-RW drives eventually die out. RC |
