1303163 2012-09-24 23:38:00 Hello,

I've had my new custom build gaming desktop for nearly a year now and over the past week it's stated crashing.

It seems to be at random times, I haven't noticed a theme as of yet. I downloaded a program to read the DMP log file and have attached a screenshot of it's contents.

Thanks for any help you can provide,
Caleb Watson

1303164 2012-09-25 00:02:00 Is a Mcafee program / AV program installed?? If it is uninstall it. Thats a known cause of that BSOD and that file. Mcafee can also crash netio.sys in Windows Speedy Gonzales (78)

I have ESET Security Suite installed. Could that be doing it?

1303166 2012-09-25 00:29:00 Pass, never used Eset. Is Windows up to date? Speedy Gonzales (78)
1303167 2012-09-25 00:32:00 I can't tell if Windows is up to date because around the time the BSOD started I get an error trying to check for updates

After a quick Google of the error code it is ESET messing with updates, wonder if that could be the BSOD too?

1303168 2012-09-25 00:38:00 Looks like Eset is the cause of windowsupdate failing. According to this (answers.microsoft.com). Its blocking access. Dont know if its the cause of the BSOD tho Speedy Gonzales (78)
1303169 2012-09-25 01:01:00 Looks like Eset can cause that BSOD. What version of Eset is it? You're not using more than 1 firewall are you? Speedy Gonzales (78)
1303170 2012-09-25 02:33:00 I followed the steps in that article to stop ESET blocking updates, my computer is checking for available ones now.

As far as I'm aware ESET is the only firewall operational, unless the Windows Defender firewall is active.

1303171 2012-09-25 02:54:00 Defender is only an AV not a firewall. Looks under action / security center. See if it shows 1 or more firewalls here. Thats if youre using Win7 Speedy Gonzales (78)
1303172 2012-09-25 02:57:00 IRQL error is usually either a driver or RAM. pctek (84)
