1302817 2012-09-23 04:39:00 Hi Folks. I successfully use YTD downloader to download and store Youttube music on a system that basically runs a clutter of junk on Windows 7.

Anyone have a clue how I can convert the downloads, available in MP3, MP4, Apple Quicktime Movie, WMV, AVI or flv in to a format which can be viewed on a standard tv..?

Any help will be appreciated.

Works well for me.

1302819 2012-09-23 05:02:00 "standard TV"? Standard TVs can't play back video files, they receive an analog (Or now Digital) stream over-the-air.

Does your TV model support playback of specific files via a USB HDD, or similar? Link us to your TV model for more accurate advice :)

Or grab the wireless model and watch Youtube directly from it.

I have one of them, and a few other similar devices for other rooms of the house.

1302823 2012-09-24 00:19:00 Thank you folks. No success as yet. I may be seeking the impossible conversion.
Hi Chilling... in answer... I have a 40" Sharp LC-40LE820X which receives digital or satellite as I choose.
My wife's laptop connects to it by cable to allow Youtube to show on the larger screen.
I also have an Apple TV unit connected, which allows direct access to Youtuibe (and others stuff) through the family wireless network.
YTD PRO allows me to convert most downloads to sound so that I can make CD's for the car, etc., but converting to vision for another TV is beyond my relatively simple knowledge.
Thanks again.
"Softonic" frightened the wits out of me, being accompanied by what I consider an assault with download rubbish. Deleted all reference as soon as possible.

1302824 2012-09-24 02:04:00 I use the standard YTD and there is a convert function in itself. There should be a tab with convert on it, click that and select the file you want to convert and into which format. Nikit07 (16761)
1302825 2012-09-24 02:44:00 Yes thanks Nikit07... None of the offered convert systems can be read by the tv. The convert to mp3 allows audio/sound items to be played as straight audio on a CD player. Scouse (83)
