| 1302849 | 2012-09-23 03:00:00 | several days ago my brother had an issue with his laptop. the night before he shut down the laptop and all was ok the next day he boots it up, logs in to a blank vista-like basic them with no programs pinned to the taskbar. i did a system restore and that seemed to fix it. it has happened again today, doing a system restore now. my guess is that his profile wasnt being loaded properly, but its only a guess thoughts?, where to from here?? thanks |

| 1302853 | 2012-09-23 05:52:00 | Profiles ( if its the case) can get damaged for various reasons, Malware or other infections, failing hardware. A user profile is in real basic terms only a link to various other applications and allowable actions in the OS. Thats why you can have different profiles with different permissions. | wainuitech (129) | ||
