Yep ... that sure does sound about right SJ ... :D And hasn't it just been announced that there's a new movie going to be made with Kevin Costner (sp) as a leading role .. not sure whether he 's goinmg to be a Hatfield or McCoy ?? |

| 1278861 | 2012-06-06 13:49:00 | I haven't seen the second movie, but the (1) review of it says it is 180º in story line from the first that it was confusing . I think the 1st version is closer to the true story, as the WIKI said so and there are a lot of historians who say the same thing . Having lived south of the Mason/Dixon myself for a while, I know a lot of the lore about the battles, and yes- there were a lot of dead bodies and the hate was intense between the two tribes . But considering where one lived, the story would be colored to make the other guys seem to be the worst culprits . Interesting that youse guys are getting to see an American legend on your tellies . Did you know that in most situations, the settlers and other 'whites' in a battle with the Indians actually fared a lot worse that has been depicted? The Indians were much better shots and killed high numbers of the invasive wagon trains, settlers, farmers and military personnel? |
