| 1277886 | 2012-05-30 02:02:00 | Can anyone remember that crazy numbnuts who reckoned some cracks in a cliff in NZ were evidence of a higher civilization than the moaris were here. Until some real scientists found the crack were caused by radiata pines roots and relatively recent burn offs caused the cracks. Just shows how many nutters are out there. |

If it was something being explored by someone with a keen interest in history I could understand it, But mostly it looks like people with an axe to grind making unsubstantiated claims for reasons that don't quite add up. |

If it was something being explored by someone with a keen interest in history I could understand it, My interest stems from that, no hidden agenda's no wanting a handout hell I'm not Greek just would like to think that what I have seen and read about from first hand sources in some areas might be true. What is really annoying is Maori history says when the canoes first arrived there was a pale skinned people already here but then they keep going on about being the indigenous people. Especially the type that was never written down or infused with magic/mythical beings (The bible falls into one of those categories) maori history falls into both. |

Just as an example, what the Russians and Japanese teach their school children about WW2 is completely out of whack with what I was taught, Yet the Russian perspective most probably has more truth in it, while the Japanese text books are just a load of spin and half-truths. And there is no end of conflicting historical accounts. |
