Most other places like Maxnet and Telstra do it but label it as a premium business product, and for the better part it's incredibly bloody expensive. I wonder why though considering at a port-level the ISPs only pay Telecom Wholesale roughly $20 more vs ADSL2+? Yet if the customer is offered a comparable data-plan, why not charge them *roughly* the same as the ADSL2+ plan plus an additional $20?! It leaves the entry-level UFB stuff pointless if you ask me. |

| 1278140 | 2012-05-30 05:46:00 | There are plenty of reasons for Fibre, such as: 1) Distance from the Exchange / Cabinet 2) Avoids issues with outside interference better than copper 3) Upload speeds 4) SLA's can be given for a business on it's uptime, vs ADSL as a 'best effort' 5) CIR options available vs PIR ..... |
