England was named after some German tribe Aoteoroa was some cloud formation and don't we all have better things to discuss ? |

At least you could have had the courtesyy of putting New in front of all the names that was taken from the British Isles. | 1277842 | 2012-05-28 09:03:00 | We should have had this discussion more than 150 years ago when New Zealand first started to be settled by us Europeans. Unfortunately none of us were around then. I was born here and would find it hard to get used to another name for New Zealand. I do think that having the Union Jack on our flag is no longer appropriate. The Canadians no longer have the Union Jack on their flag so why do we not follow suit. |
