I have used HFS Explorer on Win7 x64. Works fine if you install the right JVM.

HFS Explorer just won't install - tried on a XP laptop, without joy. Where did you download it from? I downloaded from the link by Speedy.

Get the ZIP version, you do not have to install. Just extract the zip and run. As it is written in Java, you need the JVM installed for it to work.
