1278656 2012-05-31 23:23:00 Probably wouldn't work too well over the telephone

But if you play around with a function generator, you should be able to make some frequency of square wave or such that will produce a horrible noise, at least.

Or was it a triangle wave that sounded the worst?

1278657 2012-06-01 00:04:00 Phones are volume limited so at best you can be mildly annoying, but get a whistle or something and give it a shot.
Last few I've hung up without speaking, next time I might try the put them on hold and ignore them method.

1278658 2012-06-01 01:40:00 Tell them you're going to start converting them to a different religion. That should make them mad! Agent_24 (57)
1278659 2012-06-01 02:11:00 I always go 'pizzas? Ah yes, I'll have a pepperoni and two hawian please.' that shuts them up usually Nick G (16709)
1278660 2012-06-01 02:24:00 A "litt'e old lady" I know got caught about three weeks - ago shelled out about $240 to have things "put right" - it really pissed me off 'cos I'd talked to her about it last year!

Historically can anyone remember the PF1 Chat record time for keeping the buggers talking? I've got a feeling it was over 2 hours......

1278661 2012-06-01 02:29:00 Is anyone else having trouble seeing the "live" links in the middle of a sentence in a post? eg Post one of this thread? The colour change hardly stands out at all! tuiruru (12277)

Yep, I complained about the similarity of the links and normal text ages ago when the upgrade happened. Guess nobody cared.

I always bold them to make them stand out. They are blue as well, but you can't easily see that with normal text.

Take pity on the elderly whose eyes are aging, and the young who are going blind from whacking.

Be bold.

1278664 2012-06-01 06:07:00 Now that you mention making them bold, I just realised they're not underlined like all good hyperlinks should be - perhaps this is more the reason for the confusion than the colour... Agent_24 (57)

That's right - it brings a whole new meaning to the phrase "missing link" (just in case you tried clicking just then, it's not one! :) oh - yes it is 'cos there's no link!)
