Helen Clarke was heard by me to say that New Zealand is a 'multi-religious country'. This means that not all of us are christians. Maybe other religions in this country might object to the reference to God. Remember we have to be PC. We have to be pc as long as that means favouring Maori, Christians, and women. |

Advance Australia Fair is only a slight improvement on "God Defend New Zealand (Why would he want to - the NZ people certainly aren't committed to their defence, theirs or anyone else's.) British National Anthem - God Save the Queen, What about the millions of other people who live in Britain? - they obviously don't count for nowt. Prefer Land of hope and Glory, but that has been a very sick joke for the last 50 years. Marsellaise is a stirring national Anthem, a pity it is wasted on the French. |
