2012-09-25 07:54:00 | So far the Asus N12U has been a real winner. I've suggested it to 3x peeps so far with great results but I've not actually had one myself long enough to compare as accurately. That said I've remotely given the N12U quite a beating via TeamViewer and setting a few things up, DotA2 games and the likes with a friend and it's held up marvellously! Otherwise: Draytek DV120 + TP-Link TL-WR1043ND (Running Gargoyle firmware) SORTED! :D

2012-09-25 09:01:00 | All ASUS have to do with the N12U now is update the firmware. This is probably the same as the B1, except the B1 is black. They know about the bug, but havent updated it yet. All they could tell me is change the country to Fiji for now. So, the time is right in the router | Speedy Gonzales (78) | |

2012-09-25 09:48:00 | Nothing major. The time zone for NZ is wrong in the router. Its an hr ahead of the current time. Thats why ASUS told me to change it to Fiji. Because it shows the right time. And at least if I set something (which is time-related), it'll turn on / off at the right time | Speedy Gonzales (78) | |
2012-09-25 11:47:00 | Does it do dual-band? For 100 bucks it's not bad if it does. | WarNox (8772) | |

2012-09-25 22:27:00 | Thanks Chill will let my mate know. So your recommendation for us techy people is Draytek DV120 + TP-Link TL-WR1043ND (Running Gargoyle firmware), are you still a fan of the AM300?
nedkelly (9059) | ||
2012-09-25 23:43:00 | Yeah still like the AM300 but it's becoming harder to find these days. The AM300 + Halfbridge is slightly easier to get setup and going than the Draytek DV120 is but it's basically a different way of accomplishing the same thing (Giving your Gargoyle device the Public IP, so you don't have double-NAT). See my blog for info on the TL-WR1043ND and getting it up n running.
